When choosing your contract outdoor furniture it is important to consider your venue area when choosing your preferred style. If you are fortunate enough to have a large patio area at your restaurant or hotel you will surely be familiar with the busy summer periods, sunny days matched with plenty of customers. Seating needs to be hardwearing and robust as any outdoor furniture would naturally need to be. However for your restaurant or hotel venue, you may also need to consider the space, storage, sudden weather changes and move ability.
What is your traffic type?
Your traffic type is an important factor. Will your customers be sitting for long periods of time? While a bench may be suitable in a pub patio area, this may not be suitable for customers who will be paying a premium at a luxury restaurant. Bench’s are ideal for creating outdoor seating for punters where space and adequate seating may be an issue, while armchairs and side chairs will suit a restaurant where space and comfort is more of a priority.
All weather furniture?
While outdoor furniture will often appear to be weather-proof, consider the effects of a typical British summer for example. A sudden downpour could leave your seat covers a little damp for your next customer. Likewise, metal and wooden frames can help battle against a sudden gust of wind. Sunny locations may want to consider the effects of pool-soaked customers sitting of their lounge furniture for instance and may need to invest in waterproof fabrics such as ultra leathers for reception armchairs and sofas.
Move-ability & storability?
While weave armchairs are beautiful and comfortable, are they easily stored? If sunny days are few and far between it may be necessary to store furniture over colder periods. Many outdoor ranges are stackable and some ranges are available with folding chairs and tables, which are ideal for short term use, such a event days. If this is the case for your venue, move-ability is going to be a bonus, as they will be easily set up and stored away quickly in large areas.
